The Mission of the Falls City Area Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber is a motivation force in the region. It seeks through organization of people, working together, to unite the industrial, agricultural, commercial and civic interest for the purpose of concerted action which drives the growth and development of the region. The method of attaining the objective is through the following steps:

A. Develop, encourage, promote and support the commercial, professional, industrial, agricultural, financial, general business and civic interests of the region and its citizens, and to all those who make use of our resources.
B. Extend and promote the present trade and commerce to foster, develop and support the industry of the region.

Limitation of Method

The Chamber shall be non-partisan and non-sectarian; it shall take no part in or lend its influence or facilities either directly or indirectly to the nomination, election or appointment of any candidate for office in city, county, state or national elections.

To enhance community identity, heritage and pride through revitalization, restoration and business development in downtown Falls City, Nebraska

Main Street of Falls City capitalized on the idea that the downtown is the center of community life and more than just a place of commerce. We believe that a revitalized downtown benefit the community because an active downtown is a symbol of community economic health, local quality of life, and pride and community history. The purpose of Main Street Falls City, Inc. is to encourage, promote, and support downtown Falls City’s economic vitality as well as the image and appearance of downtown.

Main Street Falls City just doesn’t include the “Main Street”, it encompasses the entire downtown district. Main Street is a resource to the entire community. We emphasize the infrastructure and the business located between 14th  and 20th  Streets on Harlan, Stone and Chase Streets.

Main Street is founded on 8 effective principles for success that are carried out through the 4 point approach. Through the work of volunteer committees the 4 point approach encourages economic development in the areas of business improvement, design, organization, and promotion. When working simultaneously and comprehensively, they help keep downtown thriving be addressing present as well as future strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenge.
